Women’s Giving Circle to host Annual Spring Bash on April 28

The Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia (WGC), a component fund of Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia Inc. (YCF), will host its annual Spring Bash from 2:30-4:30 p.m. April 28 at the Silo in the Square in Granville.

The event is open to all women who would like to learn about the WGC and how to get involved in a community of thoughtful, effective women philanthropists. In addition to informal networking, the event will include a panel discussion with the WGC’s most recent grant recipients. Attendees will hear about the impact WGC grants are making on the lives of women and girls in the north-central West Virginia region.

Admission is $30 per person and includes refreshments catered by Graciously Grazing. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance: women-s-giving-circle-of-ncwv.cheddarup.com/.
Cash or check will also be accepted at the door.

“We look forward to being inspired by the powerful stories of impact from our grant recipients,” said WGC Chairwoman Bessie Fooks. “I encourage anyone interested in the Women’s Giving Circle to attend the Spring Bash to learn how they can join us in empowering women and girls in our community.”

The WGC is dedicated to engaging women of all generations in the power of community philanthropy. The mission is to build a community of thoughtful, effective women philanthropists and create a legacy to address the needs of women and girls in north-central West Virginia.

Each year, the WGC awards grants to organizations serving women and girls in the region. Since its inception in 2014, the WGC has awarded over $145,000 to local nonprofits.
