Shopping at a discount liquidation store is exciting on many levels. These types of businesses offer the tantalizingly deep discounts and thrill of the unknown that one often encounters in a thrift store, but the merchandise is new.
Tucker’s Treasures has provided such products to the Morgantown area since 2020, when Brittany Fink Loughry began acquiring liquidation pallets from major retailers. These pallets typically contain overstock, seasonal items, customer returns and closeouts. Whatever the reason for the retailer liquidating inventory, the result is an opportunity for discount liquidation companies like Tucker’s Treasures to purchase high-quality merchandise at reduced prices, offering consumers exceptional value for their money.
At first, Fink Loughry ran a modest operation out of her living room, but Tucker’s Treasures has since evolved into a bustling enterprise requiring more space — a lot more. The business has relocated twice, first to a 6,000-square-foot warehouse at the end of Bakers Ridge Road and then to an ample retail space at 275 Don Knotts Blvd. in October 2023. The new location is in the same plaza as The Ranch Community Store, offering convenience for committed deal-hunters.
Tucker’s Treasures specializes in furniture, home goods and decor, but toys, food and electronics are far from rare. Shopping can be done in person from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. A free mobile app available in the App Store and Google Play makes it easy to browse inventory and check out with a credit or debit card, though customers must pick up their purchases at the warehouse. Sales, promotions and select items are posted on an active Facebook group. More information is available at tuckerstreasuresllc.com.
