Joseph Zaleski, 82, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
He was born to Dr. Joseph and Juanita M. Zaleski in Morgantown, on June 22, 1941.
He graduated from University High School in Morgantown. Joe graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1962 and received his master’s of public administration from the University of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Margaret Sue Rossie Zaleski of Charleston; brother, Charles D. Zaleski (Pat) of Los Angeles; nieces, Kelly Sullivan (Darryl) of Jacksonville, Ore., Kristen Ryan of Phoenix, Ariz., Lara Hamb Jett (Craig) of Philadelphia; nephew, Michael Zaleski of San Francisco; four grandnieces and one grandnephew.
To honor Joe’s wishes there will be no formal services. The family will carry out his wishes in a private celebration of his life.
