Patty Sue Ault, 77, of Morgantown, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 17, 2024, surrounded by her granddaughters, Kelly and Amy, along with her devoted dog, Rocky, and a special friend, Aleasha “Pebs” Nichols.
Patty enjoyed singing, playing the piano at her church, and going out to eat a sandwich.
Patty is survived by her brothers, Pastor Casper Dalton, Jr. and his wife Debbie, who was a special friend to Patty, Marvin Dalton and his wife Tonya, Joe Dalton and his wife Sue, and Terry “Duke” Dalton; granddaughters, Amy Freeman and her husband Charles McDonald, who was like a son Patty never had, Kelly Frum and her husband Scott; great-grandchildren, Colton and Aemilie Frum, and Makenzie McDonald; a special friend and caretaker, Melissa Uphold; one son, Casper Freeman; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion Ray Garland; brothers, Delbert, and infant James; sisters, Dewilla, Edna, Bonnie, Georgie, Rosella, and Nancy.
Friends and family will be received at God’s Family Bible Church, 162 Pond Rd., Morgantown, from 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, until the time of the funeral service on Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Casper Dalton, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
