The Preston softball team is happy to be back together and encouraged by the opportunity to get back on the field.
“This season, we have a lot of talent and potential, along with some great attitudes,” said Knights head coach Paul Pritt.
Pritt has been head coach since 2019 after nearly 30 years of coaching in youth leagues throughout Preston County.
“We are a young team which comes with inexperience and need for adjustment to the higher-level playing,” Pritt said.
Members of the team include Gracie Wilson, Isabell Hunt, Bailey Smith, Reise Friend, Rachel Hamrick, Megan Sheets, Bailey Field, Bailey Turner, Sophie Zinn, Savannah Goff, Hannah Liston, Ashley Mckinnon, Ally Teets, Haley Simms, Ava Thistlewaite, Katlynn Miller, Alli Owens, Riley Wolfe, Khloe Kelly, Lila Riley, Shayla Brandt, Myla Wotring and Camdyn Metheny.
“The main thing we ask of our girls is to set small goals for themselves throughout the season and aim to improve at least a little bit every practice and game,” Pritt said. “Our goal this season is that the girls finish it feeling proud of their own growth and accomplishments as a team.”
