Sandra G. Moore-Dalton, of Morgantown, passed away at Mon Health Medical Center on March 5, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born in Morgantown on Oct. 5, 1950, to Lloyd and Betty Jean Widener, who preceded her in death.
Caring for her family with her late husband, Bill Dalton, Sandra became a guiding light to her sons, Ronald and Donald Moore. Her nurturing spirit ensured that her presence was a warm and comforting constant in the lives of her siblings; her late brothers, Sam Frame and Wayne Winters; her surviving brother, Harley Winters; and her sisters, Susie Birrell and Anne Hart. Sandra’s legacy of care and compassion carries on through her adoring grandson, Tommie Breer.
Professionally, Sandra took pride in her role as an Owner/Operator at Axle Trucking and Megan’s Trucking. Her dedication to both companies highlighted her admirable work ethic and collaborative spirit. Sandra found joy in serving others, especially at H&R Block, where she meticulously prepared taxes for her community with a smile.
Sandra’s passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. Whether it was nurturing stray animals, cooking delicious meals for her family, embarking on spontaneous road trips, or selecting the perfect gifts for loved ones, she infused every action with her loving essence. Sandra leaves behind a legacy of generosity and warmth that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family will gather at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, for a Graveside Service, with Reverend Kenny Reed officiating.
