Emma Jean Propst, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Madison Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1946, a daughter of the late Lewis James and Ruby (Regester) Shreve.
She was the owner and operator of Mean Jean’s Cleaning for many years and always enjoyed her work. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and taking trips. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughter and going to Mayberry.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Lizzie Propst; siblings, Thomas Shreve and his significant other, Sharon, Jenny Powell and her husband Larry, Mary Casner, Louie Shreve, Margaret Karnas, Maxine Dawson and her husband Mark and Kathy Johnson and her significant other, Mike. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Charles Propst, and sister, Lucy Hansen.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 1 p.m. on Friday, March 8, until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rich Schimansky officiating. In keeping with her wishes, following the service, cremation will be provided.
