Patricia “Patty” Ann Taylor Corbin was born June 5, 1942, in Masontown. Our dear sweet Patty died comfortably at home on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, following a long journey with Alzheimers.
We celebrate her kindness and generosity of spirit as she is now among the angels where she belongs.
She is now reunited with her mother, Ada; father, Elsie; brother, Doug; sister, Dora; sister, Carolyn; and her husband, Paul.
Patty leaves to mourn her children, sisters, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many, many others whose lives she touched in her community services through the schools, babysitting, and church over the years.
Patty found great joys in children, long morning walks, gardening, and service to others. Patty was a true giver to all people, always one to lend a hand or a compassionate ear. She never met a stranger and left an impression with everyone she met.
She and her family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice staff for all of the kindness, love, wisdom and support that you have shown. Those services to us have been remarkable and we will forever be grateful. Freedom home medical for the great service and quick fulfillment process, and Smith Funeral & Cremation Care for handling all of us with great care and compassion.
A memorial dinner and gathering will be held to honor her life and joyfulness at the Brookhaven Community Building, 506 Brookhaven Rd., Morgantown, from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12.
A private inurnment will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, where she will join Paul at a later time.
Smith Funeral & Cremation Care and SFCC Crematory of Westover/Morgantown, (304) 292-9494, is providing care and guidance to the family.
