Carol Margaret Phillips, 78, of Wadestown, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, Morgantown Healthcare Center, where she lost her battle with breast cancer.
She was born July 30, 1945, at Miracle Run, a daughter of the late Charles H. Phillips and Freda Haught Phillips.
Carol was a member of the Wadestown United Methodist Church and helped teach Sunday School Classes. She loved to go to the Battelle District Fair and play Bingo. Carol enjoyed crafts and made necklaces, belts, and potholders. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving is her brother-in-law, John W. Jones of Wadestown; one nephew, Kevin Jones; nieces, Karen (Jim) Decker, Kathy (Ronnie) Keener, Becky Phillips, and Kristi (Kevin) Chisler; cousins, Larry and LuAnn Parker, and Gordon and Mary Parker; great-nieces, and nephews, Jonathan Decker, Zack, Alicia and Trent Keener, and Tyler and Ashley Chisler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles “Dale” and Patty Phillips; one sister, Shirley Jones; and one great-niece, Kayla Decker.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Morgantown Health Care Center for the love and care given to Carol while she was there. They would also like to thank the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their assistance during Carol’s last days.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Hwy., Hundred, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.
