Student musicians involved in Mon Hills Music Group, one of West Virginia University’s two student-run record labels, released its single “I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm,” on Tuesday.
The MHMG release showcases a rendition of the Irving Berlin classic, arranged by WVU graduate student CJ Rhen and sung by WVU graduate student Georgina Smith.
The single is performed entirely by WVU students, featuring Smith (vocals), Cj Rhen (trumpet, saxophone, producer, arranger), Nate Penven (saxophone), Drew Herter (trombone), Ryan Quickel (piano), Brady Myers (bass) and Brody Minnick (drums).
It can be heard on all major streaming platforms.
Mon Hills Music Group serves as a collection of independent record labels and acts as the professional component of the West Virginia University Music Industry Program out of the College of Creative Arts, directed by Professor Darko Velichkovski.
