With profound sadness we announce the passing of Christina Ann Wishon on Jan. 8, 2024.
A loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched.
Christina was born in Morgantown on Oct. 4, 1965, gracing the lives of Mother Elva June Morel and Father Gordon Lee Wishon as the youngest of seven siblings. An amazing storyteller whose thoughts were of home and her family. She always worked to uplift, teaching to forgive and be resilient, and to keep family close. Her sights were always set on those around her, ensuring they were well, and spirits were high with a Mountaineer flair that her friends and family left in her.
Christina attended Morgantown High to pursue a passion for helping others in the field of medical assistance. For twenty years she worked at Dermatology Associates of Virginia who remembers her fondly. They hope to honor her memory with a placard at their office in Richmond, Va.
Christina was predeceased by father and mother; stepfather, William Morel; brothers, Richard, Michael, Steven, Rodney. She is survived by daughter, Brittany Ross and her husband Christopher Ross of Woodstock, Va; son, Christopher Ventura of Richmond, Va.; sister, Carol and husband Jimmy McGhee of Midlothian, Va.; brother, Gordon and wife Cynde Wishon of Apollo Beach, Fla.; stepsiblings, Caroline Shay and Iris Wolfe of Morgantown, and Charles Morel of Raleigh, N.C.; her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
