Heather Renee Malone, 44, of Morgantown, and formerly of Bobtown, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at her home. Born in Waynesburg, Pa. on June 22, 1979, she was the daughter of Jacalyn (Valli) Fletcher and the late David C. Malone, Jr.
A 1997 graduate of Mapletown High School, Heather was formerly employed in communications and dispatch with the Morgantown Police Department from 2008-22. She loved animals, and especially enjoyed looking after her two faithful, furry companions, Page and Spot.
Surviving is her loving mother, Jackie and husband, Robert Fletcher of Bobtown; two half-sisters, Mindi Thomas of Pittsburgh, and Lisa Loggins of Virginia; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received in the Bobtown United Methodist Church, from 10-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16. A Memorial Service begins at 11:30 a.m. in the church, with Pastor Gale Cobb officiating, with a reception following in the church social hall. Interment afterwards in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa.
