Alda Margaret (Simpson) Gibson, 86, of Struthers, Ohio, passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2024, with her family by her side.
She was born April 5, 1938, in Terra Alta, a daughter of the late James Oliver and Gertie Ruth (Menear) Simpson.
Her husband, Ernest Gibson Sr.; son, James Gibson; daughter-in-law, Chris (Davidson) Gibson; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.
She is survived by four children, Ernest Gibson Jr., Barbara (Mike) Felt, Penny (Mark) Jones, Linda (Ed) Sferra; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Simpson.
Alda loved spending time with her grandchildren, joking, but most all, she loved God with all her heart.
Friends may call at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., Kingwood, from 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted at noon with Rev. David Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Camp ground Cemetery.
