Kenneth Ray Sisler, 75, of Morgantown, and formerly of Friendsville, Md., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown.
Born Nov. 24, 1948, in Confluence, Pa., he was the son of the late Ray K. and Verna (Reese) Sisler.
Kenneth graduated from Northern High School in 1966, from Potomac State College in 1968, and continued his education at WVU, where he graduated with a BS degree in business administration.
He was employed by Sisler Lumber Co., Mtn. Lake Park, Md., and he also worked for Interstate Hardwoods, Hazelton, until retirement.
Kenneth was an avid sports fan, playing softball, baseball, and golf, as well as being on a bowling team, and a huge fan of WVU Mountaineer Football and Basketball teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Dixie (Shafer) Sisler; one brother, Roger (Brenda) Sisler of Accident, Md.; one sister, Patty (Jim) Griffith of Morgantown; a cousin, who was like a brother to him, Steven Reese of Oakland, Md.; several nieces, nephews and other cousins.
Private services will be held for Kenneth.
Newman Funeral Homes, 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, MD, is assisting the family with arrangements.
