Phillip Clark Strahin, 88, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on Dec. 13, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 5, 1935, in Morgantown, to Phillip Ray Strahin and Uda (Bowers) Strahin.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #712, Fidelity F & A.M. out of Akron, Ohio. In addition to spending time with his family and friends his other hobbies included fishing, fixing watches and clocks, books, reading and travel. He was a private pilot with over a thousand hours of airtime. This loving husband, father, “Bakum” and friend will truly be missed.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Carol (Stockett) Strahin; daughters, Linda Joyce Ellis, and Brenda Sue Vega and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Tricia Reyanne Warma and her husband, Michael D. Warma, Jacob Patrick Ellis, Robert Mathew Vega and William Ryan Vega; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Phillip is preceded in death by both of his parents, Phillip Ray and Uda (Bowers) Strahin; and siblings, Richard Dale Strahin, and Dixie Ruth McKahan; and great-grandson, David Ellis.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Pallbearers will include Bob Vega, Bobby Vega, William Vega, Michael Warma, Bailey Warma and Manny Correa.
Honorary pallbearers will include Jacob Ellis, Dave Martinez and Pedro Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
