LYNCHBURG, Va. — Sophomore Joel Moreland set a new Morgantown High School record in the high jump Saturday at the Liberty Christman High School Invitational.
Moreland’s jump of 6’4″ not only set a new program record but secured him first place at the event, hosted at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
MHS teammate Seth Wisman also had a strong showing, finishing in a tie for 10th by clearing 5’10”.
Several other Mohigans also competed Saturday, including Joaquin Summers, who finished 25 in the 500 and 21 in the 1600, Zoey Workman, who finished 28 in the 500, Brynn Lewis, who finished 23 in the girls’ high jump, Sasha Hunter, Hayden Casdorph and Jacob Meyer.
