Dorothy Bartholow, a beacon of unwavering spirit and creativity, embarked on her final journey on Dec. 5, 2023, at the age of 78, in Morgantown. Born on April 10, 1945, in Frametown, Dorothy’s life was a tapestry of courage and passion, woven with the love she had for her family.
Dorothy’s memory will be treasured by her brothers, Paul (Susan) Stout and Robert “Glenn” Stout; her children, Robert (Marnie) Bartholow and Angela Frymyer; her cherished grandchildren, Eric, Brittany (Jessie), Tiffany (Shawn), Di-Anna (Manny), Kaylee, Gabriel, Sydney, Wylee, Cyrus, Cass, Wynne, Max, Jasper, Gauge, and Jonah Bartholow; her 14 great-grandchildren; as well as her numerous nieces, nephews; and her precious canine companion, Zoey.
Dorothy worked as a sterile processing technician for WVU for over 35 years. She was a pillar of strength, not only in her profession but also in her personal life. Dorothy’s independent nature was the foundation upon which she built a full life for herself and her family. Her love for crafting, selfcare, and the thrill of travel, especially cruising, spoke volumes about her zest for life.
Dorothy Bartholow was the embodiment of a spirited and courageous soul. Her creative spark ignited inspiration in all who knew her. As we celebrate her life, let us honor her memory by embracing the qualities she exemplified: living boldly, loving deeply, and creating a legacy of joy and passion that will forever light the way for those she has left behind.
