Joan Dalton, 89, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at Sundale Nursing Home.
Joan was born in Morgantown on May 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (Marsh) Loughry.
She was a Methodist by faith and a lifelong member of Harner Chapel.
She is survived by her children, Darrell (Deb) Dalton, Bradly (Cindy) Dalton; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Dalton; grandchildren, Justin (Nicole), Tad ( Jennifer), and Josh Dalton; great-grandchildren, Emily, Connor, Savannah, and Christian Dalton; brother, Robert “Butch” Loughry; and numerous neices and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Dalton; son, Jonathan Dalton; sister, Patty (Loughry) and her husband Eugene Wotring; and grandson, Christopher Dalton.
Friends and family will be received at Harner Chapel United Methodist Church, 100 Lucky Ln., from 3-7 p.m. Thusday, Dec. 7. Visitation will continue on Friday, Dec. 8, from noon until the time of the Service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Pamela Todd and Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
