It is with great sorrow the family of Nancy K. Lemley, 72, of Mt. Morris, Pa., announces her passing on Nov. 28, 2023, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown. Nancy was born May 6, 1951, in Morgantown. She was a daughter of the late Paul Hughes, Sr. and Orline Clara Lucas Hughes.
She was a 1969 graduate of Waynesburg high school. Nancy was a loving wife, as well as a kind and supportive mother and grandmother. She loved nothing more than to spoil her grandchildren. In addition, she worked at Stone and Thomas and then later at Elder Beerman department stores.
She enjoyed sightseeing trips, especially to Elk County, Pa. She loved to travel and to visit various family members in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky. She also enjoyed making blankets and corn bags for friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Don Lemley, as well as her children, Bob and wife Tonya Lemley and Jenny Lemley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mara Negley and Noah Lemley and Kyah Lemley. Also surviving are her brother, Paul Hughes, Jr.; and nephew Frank and wife Sarah Hughes; as well as nieces, Kayliegh and husband Randy Scott, and Lacey and husband Scott Umble; and brother-in-law, David and wife Rebecca Lemley.
Proceeding her in death in addition to her parents were a brother, Terry Hughes, and sister-in-law, Patty Hughes; as well as several aunts, uncles and various in-laws.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be private and handled under the direction of Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349 Shane M. Ayers, Director are entrusted with her arrangements.
