Kammie Ann Dixon Lantz, 52, of Terra Alta, entered the gates to her eternal home in Heaven, Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh, with her family, Pastor Mann, and Momma Mann by her side. Born on July 18, 1971, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, she was proud to have been raised in Terra Alta.
Family meant everything to Kammie. She would proudly host family dinners on Sunday and Thanksgiving and do her best to make sure birthday parties and holidays were perfect. At sporting events, she would make sure that she was there with her cow bell. Kammie loved to ride her bike with her loving husband, Jamie. The Outer Banks was her home away from home. She and her husband started Megan’s Angel’s Foundation and were so proud to help children and families in need.
Kammie was a proud member of KAC Ministries Church. When she was not with family, you could find her at church — cleaning, decorating, helping with buckwheat dinners, women’s bible study, revival, Amish trips, and Secret Sisters. You name it — she was there to help the church in any way she could.
Her faith was like no other! Kammie knew God was in control and never questioned or let her faith grow weary. She would always say, “God has me!” Because of how strong her faith was, we never have to question that she has entered the pearly gates healed with the biggest smile.
Kammie is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Jamie Lantz; a daughter and her husband, Kambra and Sam Sisler; son, Trey Lantz; her mother, Jeri Dixon; her father, Bill Dixon, and Mom Nellie; and father- and mother-in-law, Butch and Helen Lantz. Other survivors include her sisters, Teresa (Richard) Hovatter, Tonya (Vince) Dixon, and Janet (Bobby) Lantz; brothers, Jonathan (Michelle) Dixon and James Dixon; loving grandchildren: Layne Freeland, Brooklyn Yutzy, Paizlee Freeland, Emma Lantz, Trinity Hechmer, and Hayden and Abby Sisler; a great-grandson, Kylo Sisler; nephews, Brandon Lantz, Hunter Lantz, Gauge Lantz, and Trevor Dixon; nieces, Kinsley and Quinn Dixon; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Megan Lantz; grandparents, Sue and Walt Kisner; aunt, Sherry Metheny; and many other family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the KAC Ministries’ Church at 305 S. Price St. in Kingwood, from 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, until the 1 p.m. funeral service with Pastor A. C. Mann officiating. Burial will follow at the Terra Alta Cemetery in Terra Alta.
The Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
