Love a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, but too busy to do it yourself?
Or perhaps your embellishment skills aren’t quite up to snuff, and you crave a prettier model than your own efforts allow.
Either way, The Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary’s annual fundraiser could solve your problems.
The auxiliary is hosting its annual Trees to Go Fundraiser to benefit patients and their care.
The Trees to Go Fundraiser began in 2012 and was spearheaded by Kathy Pompili, who has been a member of the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary for 29 years. Since then, it has become the third largest fundraiser of the auxiliary.
Each year, the Mon Health Medical Center lobby is filled with pre-decorated trees, donated by local community members. Those trees are raffled off through ticket sales.
Patients, staff and visitors can purchase tickets in the Mon Health Medical Center Gift Shop to enter to win these uniquely decorated Christmas trees.

“It is such a joy to see the excitement from patients, staff, and visitors when they come into the hospital and are surprised by the trees in the lobby,” Pompili said.
The drawings will be held at noon Friday in the main lobby at Mon Health Medical Center.
Winners who are not present at the drawing will be contacted to pick up their trees.
Trees to Go won the 2018 Best Hospital Fundraiser Award by the Auxiliary of West Virginia Hospital
Association.
“All fundraising efforts by the auxiliary go to benefit patients and their care,” Chris Battin, Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary Board president, said. “We look forward to the Trees to Go Fundraiser each year because it not only brings some festive cheer to the hospital, but it provides an opportunity for us to better serve our patients.”
