Holly Danielle Fitzgerald, 42, of Wana, departed this earth to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2023. Passing peacefully at home with family.
Holly was born in Clarksburg, on Sept. 18, 1981, and was a 1999 graduate of Morgantown High School. She held positions in retail sales, legal secretary and MRI receptionist at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Her real passions were reading, painting as a canvas artist and watching movies with her son and nephew. She loved spending time with her German Shepherd, Hans, and Chiweenie, Cash. Holly had a special place in her heart for her late yellow lab, Titan Cross. She had a deep love for her music, for debating political views and sport shooting.
Holly touched the hearts of many people and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her son, Nickolas Fitzgerald of Morgantown; parents, Rick and Ruth Fitzgerald of Wana; sister, Christina Muzichuck; and nephew, Canaan Gilleland of Cheat Lake; grandmother, Gwen Marshall of Pentress; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Al and Betty Roush; and paternal great-grandparents Harold and Ethel Fitzgerald.
Holly was a beautiful young lady inside and out. Her generosity was helping those less fortunate than herself. Her humor, quick wit and ability to make people laugh was unsurpassed.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason Dixon Hwy, Blacksville, from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, with Pastor H. Wayne Efaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Eakin-Wana Memorial Cemetery in Wana.
