Sandy Guidi, 85 of Westover, went to her heavenly home on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1938, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Fred and Ann Cavallaro.
Sandy graduated from Morgantown High School in 1956 where she was in the band and a majorette. She attended West Virginia University.
She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was active in the music program for over 20 years, later being employed as a member on the staff for that church. After her retirement, she worked for the Diocese of Wheeling/Charleston as a part time secretary. She finally retired as a bookkeeper for Bel-Air Coal Sales, which her husband owned.
She married Tom Guidi on Jan. 31, 1959, and had two sons and four grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by her son, Fred Guidi and his wife Hollie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gage, Sara, Lauren and Alyssa Guidi; and her daughter-in-law, Amy Guidi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry in 2003, and her husband, Tom in 2005.
At the request of the family, Sandy will be cremated and a private graveside committal service will be held at the East Oak Grove Cemetery, where Sandy will be laid to rest with her family.
