Willavene Plum

Willavene Wolfe Plum, “Pooch,” 91, of Tunnelton, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2023, at the Kingwood Health Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1932, daughter of the late Albert Dellis and Audra Shahan Wolfe.

She graduated from Tunnelton High School in 1950, then worked at the Albright Power Plant as a secretary. She owned Plum’s Confectionery (The Drug Store) in Tunnelton for many years. She was an exceptional cook and needleworker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Barbara and Matthew Steves of Queensbury of New York; a son, Stephen Plum of Tunnelton; brother, Terry A. Wolfe of Morgantown; four grandsons, Andrew and wife, Summer Steves, Alex Steves, Tyler and wife, Brittany Owens-Plum, and Colten Plum; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Finn Shea Steves.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Watson Plum; brother, Kermit Wolfe; two sisters, Wanela Bolyard and Sandra Rhodes.

Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home S. Price St., from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30. A short service will be at 2 p.m. Pastor James Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Tunnelton.
