Guy Robert “Bob” Fizer, Jr., 78, of Morgantown passed away at Mon Health Medical Center on Sept. 1, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Bob was born in Fairmont, on April 29, 1945, to the late Guy Robert Fizer, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Hindman Fizer.
Bob graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School and went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard. Following his service, Bob worked at Mylan Pharmaceuticals for 46 years as a maintenance supervisor and attended Kingdom: A Community Church. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed hunting, travelling, observing nature, and going to the beach. Above all, Bob loved spending time with his family and cheering on the Mountaineers. He was so loved!
Bob is survived by his children, Guy Robert Fizer III and his wife, Stacey, of Norfolk, Va., Lisa Fizer Little and son-in-law, Rich Little, of Lexington, Ky., David Fizer and his wife, Tracey, of Landenberg, Pa., and Zachary Fizer of Morgantown; grandchildren, Kylene Fizer, Hunter Fizer, Olivia Abbott, Maggie Little, Gracie Little, and Gigi Little; a great-grandson, Harrison Green; brothers, Dave Fizer and Randy Fizer; and the mothers of his children, Maria Hall and Rebecca Sams.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a grandson, Campbell Benjamin Fizer; and a brother, Rodney Fizer
McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation service. Visitation will be held at Kingdom: a Community Church, 540 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. Following the service, a memorial service will be held at 6 pm with full military honors conferred by Westover VFW #9916 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson.
