Sheri Janelle Grubb, 64, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born on Aug. 20, 1959, in Philippi, daughter of the late, Lawrence Ray Satterfield and is survived by her mother, Rosemary “Harlene” Matthews Satterfield. Sheri is survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Grubb, whom she married on May 18, 1983, spending over 40 years together.
Sheri was a graduate of Morgantown High School class of 1977, and had a four-year degree from the West Virginia University. She worked many years as a social worker with her last employment at PACE Enterprises. Sheri enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening. Sheri spent lots of time making crafts and sharing them with her friends and family. She thought of her family as her biggest blessing and spent lots of time with each of them and making precious memories.
Sheri is survived by one sister, Brenda Blosser (Fred), two brothers, Richard Satterfield (Gina) and Rodney Satterfield; two nieces, Hannah and Jimmy, and Elizabeth; two nephews, Matthew and Jack; one great-nephew, Cutler; and her special dogs, JoJo and Mia.
Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, from 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Jeff Hanlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Matthews Family Cemetery on Oak Grove Road. Bartlett Funeral Home is honored to serve the Grubb family.
