William R. Harvey, 80 of Mt. Morris, Pa., passed away on Sept. 16, 2023. Bill, fondly known as Butch by his friends and family, was born to Garvey T. Harvey and V. Ruth Harvey on Aug. 20, 1943, in Mt. Morris, Pa.
Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a long time native to the Akron, Ohio, area and retired from Toth Buick. Butch had a passion for horses throughout his life and loved to go back home to Mt. Morris for deer season to hunt with his brother, Dwayne.
Butch is survived by his son, Michael, and daughter, Teresa. He is also survived by his sister, Betty; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Butch was preceded in death by wife, Georgia; father, Garvey; mother, Ruth; brother, Dwayn; and sister, Nina.
Visitation will be held o at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 324 Mt. Morris Rd. P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349, Shane M. Ayers, Director, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, with Pastor Joseph Adams officiating the funeral service. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA 15349.
