Main Street Morgantown will hold its sixth Arts Walk of the year from 6-9 p.m. Friday on High Street in downtown Morgantown. The event’s theme is “Fall Leaves.”
Arts Walks are monthly street fairs that showcase local arts and crafts from the creative community. The September Arts Walk will feature over 60 artists from Morgantown and surrounding areas. Arts Walk attendees can explore art, live music and food trucks. Arts Walk will be held on the second Fridays of the month through October.
Kicking off in April, the Arts Walk program draws foot traffic to downtown. The August Arts Walk took place on a Friday evening and coincided with student move-in activities. Attendees had the opportunity to meet over 70 local artists and makers, visit downtown shops and a gallery opening and enjoy live music. Arts Walks are organized by Main Street Morgantown with support from the City of Morgantown, Monongalia County Commission, Morgantown Parking Authority and West Virginia University.
