Twyla Lee Wolfe, 86, of Bruceton Mills, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
The daughter of the late Marlin D. Benson and Beatrice Gribble Benson, she was born Dec. 12, 1936, in Bruceton Mills.
Twyla attended Mission Take Back Ministries at the Pretzel Arena in Bruceton Mills. She was a wonderful cook, homemaker, and bank custodian and enjoyed piecing quilts, gardening, and cleaning.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Wolfe; a grandson, Sean Slagle; a granddaughter, Leanna Slagle; two sisters-in-law, Yvonne Benson and Faye Wolfe; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Harry and Linda Wolfe and James and Sue Wolfe; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Twyla was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Clair Wolfe, Jr., in 1986; two brothers, Kenneth Delbert Benson, in 1932, and Charles E. Benson, in 2016; and a brother-in-law, Charles Roy Wolfe, in 2021.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m on Monday, Sept. 4, and on Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service, with Pastor Steve Wotring officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, (Shady Grove), Bruceton Mills.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Bruceton Community Ambulance Service at PO Box 84, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525.
