Donella Rae Eakin, 68, formerly of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at Meadowcrest Nursing Home in Bethel Park, Pa., on Saturday Aug. 26, 2023.
She was a 1973 graduate of Morgantown High School.
She is preceded in death by her father, Neal C. Eakin; mother, Geraldine (Graham) Eaki; and brother, Gerald Dale Eakin.
She is survived by her sister, Dorinda Eakin Kibler of Pittsburgh; nephew, Matt Eakin from Las Vegas; and nephew, Chris (Anne) Lewis and his family from Pittsburgh.
Donella’s life was altered by a tragic car accident, in 1973, that left her permanently disabled. Despite her challenges, Donella always had sparkle in her eye, was quick with a joke, and could always be found completing word searches and listening to Elvis.
