Diana Lynn Woods, 65, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly in Clarksburg, on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023. Diana was born in Oakland, Md., on Feb. 28, 1958, to the late Neil Eldred Woods and Loretta Virginia (Wolfe) Queen of Grafton.
In addition to her mother, Diana is survived by her step-father, Frederick P. Queen of Grafton; her sister, Karen W. Haught (Bruce) of Fairview; brothers. Craig E. Woods (Karla) of Morgantown, Stephen N. Woods (Bonnie) of Grafton, and Wayne L. Woods (Christina) of Center Point; nieces and nephews, Eva Haught of Fairview, Jesse Woods (Sarah) of Fairmont, Brandon Woods of San Francisco, Hunter Woods (Katie) of Morgantown, Conor Vohwinkle (Hunter) of Morgantown, Kristy Woods of Ill., and Kara Walsh (Patrick) of Fla.; several great-nieces and nephews. Also, surviving is her dear friend, Jim Fawcett, of Grafton; her two dogs, Ginger and Ringo, and her cat, Smokey.
Diana graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1976 and then held jobs in title research, archaeology, and sales at U.S. Cellular. She was a member of the Blueville United Methodist Church and took on many passions in life, including nature, animals, music, mushroom hunting, gardening, and shopping for and selling antiques. She dearly loved her family and will be forever missed by them all.
Ms. Woods’s wishes for cremation will be honored and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
