Stephanie Ayers of Green Tree, Pa., beloved daughter of Mary Ellen Zeppuhar and Kenneth E. Ayers, passed away Aug. 19, 2023, after a long illness.
Her favorite sister, Kelly Ayers (Brian Nesbit) and nephew but most importantly godson Sloan Nesbit (Bethany Bachman) brought joy into her life.
Stephanie had been a long time employee of the Dominion Post in Morgantown. She was an accomplished artist with her artwork being displayed throughout the United States and Slovenia.
As her cousin Lisa described her, “Stephanie was an amazing person with a beautiful smile, full of laughter, and a joyful soul.”
Friends may join the family to honor Stephanie’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24. On Friday, Stephanie will be moved to the Bishop’s Chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1685 National Rd., Wheeling, where she will lay in repose from noon until 12:30 p.m. Stephanie will then be laid to rest in the cemetery with a graveside committal service.
