Holly Sanders

Holly Sanetrik Sanders, 47, of Masontown, passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital at Mon Health Medical Center. She was born May 13, 1976, in Morgantown, a daughter of Judy Sanetrik and the late Thomas C. Sanetrik, Sr.

Holly was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Philippi and worked in insurance claims since 1996 at PDMS, UHA, MedExpress, Wheeling Hospital, and WVU Medicine. She was a 1994 graduate of University High School where she was an active member of the FFA Chapter and was a long-time member of 4-H in Monongalia County. In her free time, she enjoyed being outside on the farm and previously worked at Hunter’s Dairy at her “hobby job.” Holly loved her dogs, Davee and Gunny and was inspired by Wonder Woman.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her spouse, T.J. Sanders; siblings, Laura Sanetrik and her companion, Albert Johnson, Marie Post (Jason), Thomas Sanetrik, Jr. (Jessica); father- and mother-in-law, Terry and Pam Sanders; sister-in-law, Lisa Cottrell (K.C); nieces and nephews, Frank Demasi IV (Danielle), Nick Demasi, Beth Sanetrik, John Sanetrik, Thomas Sanetrik, Bradley Cottrell, Alexis Cottrell, and Kaylee Cottrell; great-nephew and great-niece, Cohen Demasi and Kathleen Cottrell; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Anna Sanetrik; maternal grandparents, Lester and Laura Mercer; and many aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20. Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory and a funeral mass will take place at a later time at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Philippi.
