Clyde Grimm

Clyde Junior Grimm, 87, of Reedsville, passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown. He was born in (Morgan Mine) Reedsville, on April 27, 1936, a son of the late Brooks Ross and Ethel Mae (Johnson) Grimm. Clyde was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Clyde held many jobs over the years, he drove a truck over the road for FedEx, worked in construction and was a coal miner. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carolyn Sue (Estep) Grimm; four children, Tamara Kelly and husband William of Reedsville, Kim Keefer Fairmont, Douglas Grimm of Portsmith, Ohio, and Angela Luizer and husband Jody of Masontown; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by four sisters. To honor Clyde’s wishes he will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at the Bethlehem Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, with Pastor Richie Stone officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guard and the Joint Base Andrews Air Force Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff and caregivers of Sundale Nursing Facility for the care and compassion given to Clyde and his family.
