Star City opened its annual summertime farmers market Thursday.
The markets run 3-6 p.m. each Thursday through September at Star City’s Edith Barill Riverfront Park.
Sponsored by the town, the markets feature nearly three dozen vendors who sell numerous items such as fresh produce, pet products, baked goods, flowers, soap, candles and locally raised meats. There are also crafters and artisans who display and sell their creations.
Later this month, Star City will partner with Morgantown North Rotary for a community-wide yard sale.
That event will be from 8 a.m.-noon July 22.
Any resident in Star City who wishes to participate should contact the Town of Star City Business Office at 304-599-3550 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to register their address.
