A popular program at Pricketts Fort, 88 State Park Road, Fairmont, Colonial Kids Day took place Wednesday.
The annual event focuses on 18th century life through a child’s eyes.
Families are encouraged to the state park for these events and experience a full day of fun and educational activities.
Visitors Wednesday learned about daily chores in the fort, life in the militia and colonial children’s games. They also participated in crafts in the visitor center.
Pricketts Fort is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily and noon-4 p.m. Sundays. It features a reconstruction of the original Pricketts Fort, which served as a place of refuge during colonial times.
