Jennifer Ogden

Jennifer Marlene (Jacobs) Ogden, 77, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. She was born October 14, 1945, a daughter of the late Jules and Helen (Gondean) Jacobs. She was a longtime member of Suncrest United Methodist Church and was a 1963 graduate of Morgantown High School. In the past, she worked for WV PA Mining Supplies, WCLG, Teleprompter Cable, which later became Century Cable, and Clinical and Pharmacologic Research (CPR). She was a Life Member of the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary and was nominated for volunteer of the year. Nana was more than just a nickname. Family or not, she was Nana to many, making everyone she crossed paths with feel loved and taken care of. She was selfless and a kind, thoughtful friend with a sense of adventure. Heaven certainly gained another angel. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wilfred “Bill” Ogden; children, Holli Michelle Heiskell (David Clise, II) and Wilfred “Bill” Ogden II and his wife Lori of Morgantown. She is also survived by the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Laurel Grace Heiskell, Jules Lauren Ogden, and Payton Nicole Ogden, all of Morgantown. She also leaves behind her siblings, Jules “Jay” Jacobs and his wife Bonnie of Walkersville, Md., and Judie Theierl and her husband Henry of Burkburnett, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown, WV 26505 to be used to the Dollie Hyre Circle or to Meals on Wheels, 3375 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505. Friends and family will be received at Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown, from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, and again on Monday, July 10, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Buckland, Rev. Tim Halloran, and Rev. Junius Lewis officiating. Entombment will take place following the service at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
