Bonnie L. Crawford, 83, residing in Sandusky, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born on Jan. 14, 1940, in Morgantown, to the late George and Exa (Howell) Shisler. On Jan. 22, 1958, she married Robert L. Crawford, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2019.
Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of New Life Church. She shared her love with more than 20 foster children over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking and going to garage sales. She loved spending time with her family, especially on their vacation trips together.
Bonnie is survived by four daughters, Debra (Donnie Campbell) Clark of Flordia, Pamela Thomas of Green Springs, Wilma (John) Cunningham of Castalia and Rebecca (Jim Buchanan) Crawford of Sandusky, Ohio; two sons, Michael (Arlina Dietrich) Crawford of Norwalk, Ohio, and Timothy (Sonja) Crawford of Sandusky, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Steven (Dawn), Jeremy (Cindy), Jonathan, Adam (Kayla), Robert (Julie), Justin, Paul Ryan (Haley), Jordan (Victoria), Arielle (Ken), Christopher, Nicholas (Amber) and Noah (Sam); 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ida Taft of Collins, OH, and Freda (Tom) Keyser of Morgantown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Crawford in 2019; great-granddaughter, Lilly Hope Taylor; sister, Glenna Henline; brothers, Bob, Lloyd and Daniel Shisler and canine companion, Chica.
Friends may call at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, Ohio, from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 9. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 10. Pastor John Adams will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. The family would like to acknowledge the nurses and caregivers at Parkvue Healthcare for the extraordinary care given to Bonnie.
