Maxine V. Pallai, 92, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 15, 2023.
She was born April 9, 1931, in Bald Hill, Pa., to the late Charles and Elizabeth Dusenberry.
She was a longtime resident of Mount Morris, where she graduated high school. She married Michael Pallai on Oct. 9, 1954. During Michael’s military service, they relocated to many different states, including Hawaii.
She was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Mount Morris United Methodist Church for many years when she was younger. She volunteered for the Red Cross for 25 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Diane Pratt and spouse, Murray, Elizabeth Korzun and spouse, Timothy, and Michael Pallai; sister, Marjorie Lewellen; five grandchildren, Michael T. Pallai, Lisa Pratt, Clayton Pratt, Cassie Pratt and Jeremiah Hendershot; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jackie Donley and Glenn Dusenberry.
Visitation will be held at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, 324 Mount Morris Road, Mount Morris, PA 15349, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 19. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20; burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris.
