Shirley Turner

Shirley Mae Turner, 84, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born in Terra Alta, on March 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Charles Reed and Lucy Lucille (Conner) Wolfe.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved tending to her hummingbird feeders and flower gardens, cooking for family get togethers, and sewing. She was strong in her faith and read her Bible and prayed every day.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Clark and companion Brian Rehwinkel of Morgantown; one son, Brian Turner of Masontown; beloved sister, Judy and husband John Rehe of Masontown; brother, Robert and wife Shirley Wolfe of Reedsville; eight grandchildren, James, Michael, William “Gus”, Cieira, Brandon, Brittany, Jay and Brianna; nine great-grandchildren, Alex, Noah, Brooklynn, Jada, Tyler Jr., Alexia, Lola, Hunter, and Xavier Alexander; sister-in-law, Sharon Wolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Alexander “Buck” Turner; three daughters, Robin Lynn Turner, Toni Nanette Hardesty, and Kimberly Stone; brother, William Wolfe; sister, Marlyn McClendon and husband Joe McClendon; sister-in-law, Georgia Lewis Wolfe.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 26, and on Saturday, May 27, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of service with Rev. Casper Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown.
