West Virginia Public Theatre presents “A Night of Comedy” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Holiday Inn and Suites on Pineview Drive in Morgantown.
The comedy show will feature three renowned comedians: Joe Zimmerman, Kasha Patel and Bryan Morton.
Zimmerman, a regular at New York’s iconic Comedy Cellar, has performed on various shows, including The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan and Last Comic Standing.
Buzzfeed says, “The combination of Joe’s calming vocalization and inventive writing is a thing of magic. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more enjoyable show.” His first one-hour special is expected to be released soon.
Patel, a West Virginia native, was named as one of the “Best Undiscovered Comedians” in the United States by Thrillist Magazine. Patel’s unique voice couples life as an Indian-American and her love of science and has earned her features in The Washington Post, BBC World News and The Travel Channel’s “Mysteries of the Museum.”
Morton, a stand-up comedian from Tennessee, was named 2017’s “Funniest of the Tri-Cities.” Morton has traveled the East Coast, performing at several venues such as the North Carolina Comedy Festival, and has earned a reputation as a must-see comedian on the rise.
