Steve Duffer, Jr. 81, of Shriver, passed away at his home on Friday, April 28, 2023 following a brave struggle with pulmonary arterial hypertension. He was born December 16, 1941, in Morgantown, son of the late Steve Duffer, Sr. and Gallie Takovich Duffer.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 17 years Teresa Commodore Duffer; stepson John Christodoulou; niece Courtney Duffer Bailey and husband Jonathen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Michael and Karen Commodore, John and Donna Commodore, Rose Commodore; nephews Shane Commodore, Eric Commodore; and his beloved dog Bailey.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death his children Christi Duffer and Steve Duffer, III; his brother and wife David and Shelley Duffer; and sister Barbara Duffer.
Steve was a dear, devoted loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt elk, caribou, bear, and deer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his many friends. He also cherished hunting and fishing with his wife, WVU Basketball and nature photography.
Steve was a welder for the former General Electric plant in Morgantown, from which he retired. He served six years in the Army Reserve National Guard as an armor intel specialist.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from noon on Friday, May 12, until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Phillip R. Szabo officiating. Steve will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with military honors.
