A ribbon-cutting celebration with food trucks and games will give area residents an opportunity to see the new Friendship Community in Recovery facility.
The grand-opening event will be from 1-4 p.m. Thursday at 227 Don Knotts Blvd.
There will be games, resources, snacks and tours of the center and an opportunity to meet the team members.
Friendship Community in Recovery is an offering of Milan Puskar Health Right, a community-supported free and charitable clinic.
During Thursday’s event, attendees can visit with all programs from Milan Puskar Health Right, the Region VI American Job Center Mobile Unit, representatives from the 17th Judicial Circuit Public Defender Corp., many of partners in recovery and more.
WCLG will be broadcasting on location. Curbside Concoctions will be making some delicious food and there expected to be a few special guests stopping by for an appearance and photographs — the date of the event may provide a clue.
The ribbon-cutting will take place at 1:15 p.m.
