Sharon C. Travis, 84, of Morgantown passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home. She was born in Morgantown, on Thursday, Nov. 10, 1938, daughter of the late Joseph and Martha McFadden Myorski.
Sharon retired as head cashier at Kroger in Morgantown, where, over the years, she provided the opportunity of summer employment to local high school students. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Pines Country Club of Morgantown, and she was a member of the Point Marion Thursday Night Bridge Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Darwin L. “Sonny” Travis, and her three sisters. She is survived by her two sons, Wes Travis and wife Lisa, of Morgantown, and Brian Travis and wife Lois, of New Castle, Colo.; grandchildren, Athena, Charlie, Deyna, Kimmy, Ashley and Torey; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Louis E. Rudolph Funeral Home, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director and Supervisor, Point Marion, Pa.
