Phyllis Ann (Hawley) Kisner, 70, of Reedsville, departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Phyllis was born on Sept. 8, 1952, in Kanes Creek, a daughter of the late Harold Lloyd and Margaret Viola (Dalton) Hawley.
Phyllis was a 1970 graduate of Valley High School and a lifelong member of the Kanes Creek United Methodist Church. She worked for the WVU ticket office and retired in 2021 after 16 years of service.
She loved doing her crafts, planting her flowers, going shopping and especially cleaning. Her joy was helping and being around her family.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kenny Kisner; three daughters and spouses, Shannon Jo Kisner, of Reedsville, Ashley and Lee Staley, of Capon Bridge, and Shyla and Nicholas Dalton, of Masontown; three grandchildren, Kinsley Staley, Henlee Staley and Axel Dalton; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Faye and Frank Street.
Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price St., Kingwood, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 10 and from 10-11 a.m., the funeral hour, on Tuesday, April 11 with the Rev. John Brosky officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Phyllis’s honor to Kanes Creek United Methodist Church, 554 Moran Road, Kingwood, WV 26537.
