Dorothy Edna Rosenberger, 90, of Gaston, S.C., formerly, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at her daughter’s home.
The daughter of the late Robert and Francis “Freema” Peltz Sabolo, she was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Morgantown, graduating from Morgantown High School. In 1952, she married the late John Alfred Rosenberger, and together they had five children. She worked at Morgan Shirt Factory until retirement. During her adult life, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where she assisted in the nursery. She was also a member of Happy Homemakers and looked forward to the monthly meetings; her favorite activities were shopping for prizes and Bingo. The love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was immeasurable. She was always up for an adventure and lived life to the fullest. Always finding laughter and positivity in every situation.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Rosenberger, of Morgantown, Mary (Erick) McIe, of Gaston, S.C., and William (Jennifer) Rosenberger, of Morgantown; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, sister, Norma Mae Huggins, and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Rosenberger, and daughter, Karen Zechman.
