Perry Jane Bryan, 74, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children on March 5, 2023, under the compassionate care of Amedisys Hospice. Perry was born in Gassaway on April 23, 1948, daughter of the late Perry G. Stout Jr. and Leatrice J. “Libby” Fredrick Stout.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Lee Scott Stout.
Perry attended Washington Irving High School. She was employed in several different genres throughout her lifetime within the Clarksburg and Morgantown areas. She retired as an estate manager after many years of service. She was an eccentric, fashionable lady who enjoyed crafting her own specialty jewelry that was loved by all who adorned it. She enjoyed collecting antiques and shopping thrift markets. She loved music and loved to sing. She enjoyed eclectic art and had quite the green thumb with her houseplants. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Perry is survived by her children: two daughters, Melissa Ann Bryan, of Clarksburg, and Tamara Jo Bryan, of Morgantown; one son, John Patrick Bryan III, of Clarksburg; a grand-daughter, Kaleigh Jo Bryan, of Morgantown; her niece, Rachel Dawn Sharp, of Clarksburg; a great-nephew, Alexander Lee Hess Sharp; two nieces, Madison Brook Hess Sharp and Ella McKinley Hess Sharp; and many cousins in Southern West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina and Washington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Harrison County.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301 for visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18.
