Head to Spark! Imagination and Science Center to create and build with cardboard during Outside of the Box Day, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
A cardboard box can be so many things — a doll house, an arcade game, a space ship and much more. Spark will provide the materials and visitors will provide the imagination.
“Creating something new from old boxes and cardboard is not only fun, but also allows participants to use problem-solving and engineering skills while they stretch their imaginations,” said Julie Bryan, executive director of Spark! Imagination and Science Center.
Participation in Outside of the Box is included with general admission. General admission is $5 per person, children under 12 months visit for free.
Outside of the Box Day was funded through a grant made possible through a collaborative effort between YCF and the Arts Council of Greater Morgantown, with funding from the City of Morgantown, the Monongalia County Commission and the Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the Arts.
Spark! Imagination and Science Center is inside the Mountaineer Mall, 5000 Green Bag Road. For more information, call 304-292-4646 or visit the museum’s website at sparkwv.org.
