Dora Wolfe

Dora Grace Wolfe, 94, of Newburg, passed away peacefully at Stonerise of Kingwood, on Feb. 22, 2023. Dora was born on Aug. 23, 1928, at Marquess, daughter of the late Charles Frank and Lettia Arletta Huffman.

Dora was a hard worker all her life, having worked at various locations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Oscar Lee Wolfe; her son, Harlin Lee Wolfe; and great-great-grandson, Rylee Mullenax. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Bolyard, Florence Shaffer, Betty Bell and Josephine Lantz. In addition, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Huffman and Lewis Huffman.

She is survived by one brother, Delbert “Buck” Huffman; a daughter and spouse, Monica and Darwin Turner; a daughter-in-law Diana Wolfe; six grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Wayne Mullenaz, Harlin Jr. and Diane Wolfe, Shawnie and Edwin Grove, Holly and Mike Maroon, Travis and Amy Turner and Bradley and Amber Turner; her great-grandchildren, Heather Mullenax, Kelsey Mullenax, Harlin Zackary Wolfe and Madison Watts; and great-great-grandchild, Tatum Lee Wolfe.

Dora made a dedication to the true God, Jehovah and was baptized at the age of 89. She delighted to tell others the Kingdom message that Jesus instructed his followers to share with all. Even though limited by her age, Dora would take advantage of every opportunity to share the good news. Later, when hospitalized and living in assisted living, she again took the opportunity to tell others of the blessings of Kingdom Rule though Jehovah’s Son, Jesus Christ.

“For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name.” — Hebrews 6:10. We are confident Dora is in Jehovah’s memory and at a soon to be time, Jesus Christ will resurrect her here on a beautiful paradise earth — John 5:28, 29.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Michael Schwarzenberg, Windy Hill assisted living, and Stonerise of Kingwood, who provided her with loving care.

Friends and family will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave., Newburg, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Israel Cemetery, Marquess community.
