Wilbert Eugene “Poodle” Wolfe of the Cheat Lake area passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Born Jan. 24, 1960, in Morgantown, he was the son of the Late Wilbert and Bertha “Birdie” Wolfe.
Eugene worked in construction most of his life. He had a hand in building a lot of homes and businesses in the area. He enjoyed riding his mountain bike, but his real passion was fishing and coyote hunting.
He is survived by his two daughters, Heather and Crystal Wolfe, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Savanna and fiancé Dan, Sahara, Orien and Vella; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Asher; and one sister, Patricia Crawford.
Also surviving are several nieces a nephew, numerous cousins, and friends.
His request for cremation will be honored by his family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home.
